Frank’s kids; are Katie, Sara and Cinder his fantastic Brittanys.
Katie came from Hidden Valley Kennels in Riverside County, California. Her breeders, Paul and Peggy Dorion are long time breeders of Sporting Dogs. Paul has trained many field
Katie and Dad started training in agility eight years ago with Gabriella Ravani and Karyn Dawes. She completed her MX and MXJ [AKC] in early 2009. For the past two years we have been training @ Martini’s Ranch with Debby Wheeler. Kate has since passed, but her menory is always with me. Recently I have added Jake, a rescue dog.
Sara and Cinder are both from Cimmaron Brittanys out of Ramah, Colorado. Their breeder is Christine Ward-Weber, a long time breeder of multipurpose Brittanys, from field, to show to Obedience and Agility Brittanys.
Sara, Cinder and Dad trained in basic puppy skills @ Snug Pet Resort in San Diego. At present Sara is training in agility foundation skills with Gabrilla, Karyn and Debby. Although Sara is smaller than Katie – she has no obstacle fears and is super fast. We love her height in that she will be jumping in the 16 inch, class in AKC Agility. Whoopee!
The girls love each other and play hard every day. We are so fortunate to have Karyn Dawes as such a good friend. She lets us come up to her field [DogPatch] in San Marcos and have playtime. Fun for all as Sara and Katie play, chase birds, and train while Karyn and I enjoy pizza and the brew of the day.
It should be noted that while Agility has provided good physical exercise for Katie, Sara and Frank; the real benefit is meeting and spending time with all the great folks and dogs who also train and participate. Frank Barnhart, Katie Barnhart MX MXJ,UAG1,UAG2 and MACH 2 Cimmaron Sasparilla Sara.
